IMES had the honor to partner recently on a significant project for Gannett (the USA TODAY Network) and the Google Digital News Initiative (GNI), performing high resolution image capture on 40,000 images from several Gannett outlets to date. Gannett recently used these new assets to highlight over 30 years of The Augusta Chronicle’s Masters Tournament content to publish never-before-seen images of golfer Tom Watson’s 1981 win.

You can read more about this exciting project on the Gannett and Google News Initiative blogs.
